Agronomy Intern--Carroll

Job Description:
The Intern assists with seasonal tasks associated with yield trials. Internships starting in March will develop a strong understanding of the planning process as well as equipment readiness and operation. Interns are responsible for stand counts and summer projects.

Physical Requirements:
• Lift at least 50 lbs in the spring for loading and unloading seed boxes
• Seasonal physically demanding field work
• Walk in field throughout growing season for note taking purposes
• Excellent near and far vision
• Mount and operate agricultural equipment
• Extensive use of hand and power tools and related functions while working on equipment
Required Skills:
Education Requirements:
• Basic agronomy class work must include:
• Introductory agronomy classes or crop production
• Weed identification
• Soils preferred
• Min. 3.0 GPA in agronomy classes
• National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) recognized
Shifts: Days, Flexible, Evenings, Weekends, Variable
