Job Description:
The CAD Drafter Intern is responsible for the development of complete and accurate 2D CAD models, drawings, and design documents for systems using AutoCAD and other Computer Aided Design software tools. The CAD Drafter Intern works under the close guidance of experienced CAD Drafters, Designers and Engineers to create proper construction documents for field use and to develop knowledge and skills. The CAD Drafter Intern is required to have knowledge of AutoCAD and it's commonly used concepts, practices, and procedure.

A TYPICAL DAY COULD INCLUDE
-Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and CAD models.
-Create and modify assembly, erection, fabrication, detail, and other drawings; modify drawings based on mark-ups from Experienced CAD Drafters or Designers, Engineers, and Managers.
-Maintain CAD files and drawings based on Standards and office procedures.
-Read and comprehend design drawings and equipment data sheets.
-Meet all safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
-Must have a basic understanding of Window's Explorer and how to create, maintain and organize numerous folders and files.
-Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.
-Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
-Completed some CAD Drafting Classes or equivalent CAD experience preferred.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD based drafting systems preferred.
-Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
-You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You're capable of learning new programs.
Pay Rate: DOE
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Shifts: Days
