Job Description:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·      Providing quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice and individuality.
·      Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians
·      Maintaining patient charts and medical records with thorough and proper documentation
·      Reporting changes in patients' conditions.
·      Administering medications prescribed by a physician.
·      Collecting blood, urine and other samples for laboratory tests.
·      Helping patients dress, eat, and bathe.
·      Assembling and using equipment such as tracheotomy tubes, catheters, and oxygen suppliers.
 

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
·      Must possess valid current license under the State Board of Nursing.
·      Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
·      Must be 18 years of age or greater.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position may function as the charge nurse or supervisory nurse, if assigned. The LPN in the charge or supervisor nurse role is responsible and accountable for his or her nursing judgments, actions and competency.
 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing throughout the course of the workday.
 
The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires long hours and frequent weekend work that could take place in a variety of facilities. Example: Clinics, Long Term Care Facilities, Hospitals, Home Health, etc.
 
Travel
Travel may be required, depending on job assignment
